How to make your own Sudoku puzzles

Step 16 - The rest is easy.
Fill in the cells which are the last cells in their rows, columns, or blocks. Cell a, b, c, and d are fixed in this order. Cell e and f are fixed, as well.
Then we have only four vacant cells. Those four cells accept 8s or 9s, and there are two possibilities of the arrangement. If we have used up all the exposed cells, two possible answers exist, which is no good. Luckily in this example, we have one exposed cell left.

OK, we put 8 to the exposed cell.

Now we finished! In this case, it was successful.

Step 17 - Let's check the puzzle once again.
This is the actual puzzle. When you have created it, let's solve it and check the following points: Is the way you solve it as you imagined when you were creating it? Is there any other ways to solve it? Is it fun to solve, or do you want to scrap it?

Now that you know how to make it, go for it and make your own puzzles! It's a good idea to practice with about 30 exposed cells. Then gradually reduce the exposed cells, and when you reach 20 exposed cells, you can be a professional puzzle maker!
